Full day of Kings season in review pieces

So we got a little bit behind the 8-ball but thanks to a solid effort we've caught up.

Today on Examiner.com we posted two separate articles looking back at the efforts of the Los Angeles Kings in 2009-10 season.  Here is where to find these two articles and what they contain within them:

Thursday we'll evaluate the coaching and management staff and project which players within the Kings system might have a chance to make the big club next season.  Friday, we'll set up an interesting summer for the Kings and their fans.

Don't forget to also check out my Dodgers articles on Examiner as well.  I'll be posting a story there tomorrow about watching the big leaguers through the eyes of little leaguers.

Also be sure to register now to play in the 22nd Annual Dave Taylor/Jim Fox Cystic Fibrosis Golf Classic on Monday, June 14th, at Moorpark Country Club.  Check out my Kings articles above to find more details, or click here to register now!

Kings Season-in-review week begins with Intern Profile

So I'm a week behind schedule, but it'll be worth it, trust me.  This week, in my role as the LA Kings Examiner, I'll be rolling out a review of the LA Kings 2009-10 season, which culimnated in their first post-season appearance since 2002 and the third 100+ point season in franchise history.

On Monday, we posted a piece about the hard working people behind the scenes with the Kings Communications Staff, the interns.  Courtney Ports has been an intern for two seasons, and his value grew throughout his time with the club.  Here's the story:

Kings PR staff get assists in-turn from interns

The rest of this week will bring the following:

  • Tuesday: we'll look at the play of the goaltenders and the defensive unit
  • Wednesday: the forwards come into focus
  • Thursday: Coaching staff and other management, as well as looking to whom might rise through the minors next season
  • Friday: Looking ahead to a busy summer

Please also be sure to check out my writings about the LA Dodgers on Examiner as well.

Sarah bringing back Lilith

Hey gang, so a good friend of mine, Jonathan Harris, asked me to contribute a piece about Sarah McLachlan and her bringing back the Lilith Fair.  It is a very worthy cause because of the monies it raises for various issues and causes.  In advance of her new album coming out later this month, the folks at Causecast asked me to pen a brief story about her reviving Lilith Fair, which was actually posted on Huffington Post this week:

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/05/04/lilith-impact-fund-music_n_563020.html

Please read and spread the word.  I will post a review of her album when I get my hands on it.  Thanks for reading
