Examiner.com piece on Rich Hammond

There were many different reactions to the news last fall that the LA Kings would hire a beat reporter to write about them.  The reaction ran the gambit from exiftement and a general sense that this was the natrual direction of things all the way to the end of sports journalism as we know it.

Rich Hammond, it turns out, was the perfect guy for the gig, because instead of beating his chest and engaging in the conversation, he simply let his work to the talking for him.  So as the season ended this past weekend, he sat with me for a feature story that I wrote and posted on Examiner.com today.  Here's the link:

Hammond exceed expectations in first year with Kings

Since my birthday is this Friday, we'll call this my early birthday present to you, especially all you Kings fans out there asking me, "What's Rich Hammond like?"

Oh, and you check out the latest from Rich by clicking here...
